Britt first asked me to shoot her + fiancé Justin’s engagement photos – we did a two part session, starting in the mountains near Boise, ID so that we could get some beautiful golden forest vibes. Then we moved down the hill to incorporate their custom motorcycle + Justin’s grandad’s vintage truck.
They got married that October in the most intentional, 70s inspired ceremony in Pine, ID. Britt sourced all her vintage decor, rugs, afghans, from local thrift and antique shops. She also designed ALL their floral arrangements herself. We did getting ready photos for the gals, then the guys, with special guest appearances from their red-golden retrievers. Then the girls got dressed and hit the tiny honkey tonk bar for a quick pre-wedding drink.
Justin + Britt had a short and sweet ceremony, then dinner and pies for dessert, followed by a live performance by Tylor and the Train Robbers, dancing into the night surrounded by their family and friends.
One of the things I loved most about their wedding was that every detail was thought out and executed so beautifully, from the location in a beloved corner of the Idaho forest, to all the decor, to Britt’s bridal outfit details. It made photographing the day such a joy because I know everywhere I looked the details I photographed would be treasured forever.
